2018-19 Bilingual Education Scholarship Final Allocation Amount This memo is to announce the enclosed 2018-19 final allocation amounts based on the appropriation from fiscal year 2019 for the for the Bilingual Education Scholarship program.

Financial Aid Database (FAD) Reconciliation Form The FAD report requires institutions to reconcile each applicable state aid program during cycle two and three.

The deadline to submit completed recommendation forms for the 2018-19 (FY 2019) Good Neighbor Scholarship Program is April 13, 2018.

The deadline to submit the FY 2019 Opt-In/Opt-Out survey is April 6, 2018. These programs include the Educational Aide Exemption (EAE), Texas College Work-study (TCWS), Texas College Work-Study (TCWS) Mentorship and Tuition Equalization Grant (TEG).

The Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board (THECB) has calculated the default and loan forgiveness rates for the B-On-Time program using a method that mirrors the federal methodology of using a three-year cohort.

The Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board (THECB) is required to invite all eligible institutions the opportunity to participate in certain state financial aid programs in order to be included in the allocation calculation process on an annual basis. These programs include the Educational Aide Exemption (EAE), Texas College Work-study (TCWS), Texas College Work-Study (TCWS) Mentorship and Tuition Equalization Grant (TEG).

The chart below shows the reallocated funds that will be distributed to the institutions that
submitted a reallocated request form by February 20, 2018 for the Toward EXcellence,
Access and Success Grant (TEXAS Grant), Texas Educational Opportunity Grant (TEOG),
and Tuition Equalization Grant (TEG).

B-On-Time (BOT) FY 2018 Reallocation Calculation
This memo shows the reallocated BOT funds that will be distributed to both public and
private institutions that submitted a reallocated request form by February 20, 2018.

In the coming months, the Financial Aid Services area will be redesigning the Q&As that were previously available on the Student Financial Aid Programs Information Website (SFAP) under "Resources". During the redesign process, the documents will be unavailable, and a notification will be sent out to the institutions once they are reposted.

The 2018-19 recommendation form for the Good Neighbor Scholarship (GNS) program is now available through the CBPASS portal.

Financial Aid Database Report Update FY 2018

The Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board is working diligently to assist and support the institutions with FAD file processing and error resolution.

During the FY 2018 FAD reporting cycle one, necessary updates to the reporting process were identified and have now been completed.
