College Readiness and Success Models Grant Program (CRSM - 2026) RFA

The College Readiness and Success Models Program is established to continue scaling effective strategies that promote systemic reforms, to improve student outcomes, and provide professional development opportunities for faculty and staff focused on improving evidence-based practices for advising, acceleration strategies, persistence, and course pass rates. Additionally, CRSM-2026 aligns goals to support and promote evidenced-based student success programs that positively impact institutional retention rates, credential attainment and graduation rates, and academic achievement.

Family Practice Residency Program (FPRP) Grant Opportunity Announcement FY2027

The Family Practice Residency Program (FPRP) Grant provides state-funded support to sustain and strengthen accredited family medicine residency programs across Texas to eligible programs
operated by a medical school, licensed hospital, or nonprofit corporation that has received approval to provide family physician residency training and to receive state funding for that purpose. The program operates through a formula/allocation-based funding model, ensuring predictable and equitable financial support for all eligible residency programs.

Texas Reskilling and Upskilling through Education (TRUE) Grant Program 2026-28

TRUE 2026 Grant Program funding will be awarded competitively through a Request-For-Applications (RFA) process. The projects proposed are required to be for career training and education programs shorter than six months in duration, industry-aligned, in high-demand fields, and developed with the participation of key workforce actors such as employers, workforce boards, economic development corporations, and trade associations.

Emergency and Trauma Care Education Partnership Program - Graduate Medical Education Program 2026-2027

In 2011, the 82nd Texas Legislature created the Emergency and Trauma Care Education Partnership Program (ETEP) to address the state’s need for physicians and registered nurses with training in emergency and trauma care. ETEP provides funding support for partnerships between graduate medical education programs and hospitals (as defined in Appendix A, RFA Definitions) in emergency and trauma care to increase training opportunities in the medical specialty/subspecialty areas of emergency medicine (EM), pediatric emergency medicine (PEM), and surgical critical care (SCC).

The Emergency and Trauma Care Education Partnership Program (ETEP) was established to address the state’s need for physicians and registered nurses with training in emergency and trauma care. ETEP provides funding support for partnerships between hospitals and graduate professional nursing programs (as defined in Appendix A, RFA Definitions) to increase the education and training experiences in emergency and trauma care for registered nurses pursuing graduate-level education. The program provides similar support for partnerships between hospitals and graduate medical education programs in emergency and trauma care.
