The Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board’s (THECB) Academic and Health Affairs Division is pleased to announce the grant awards for the Emergency and Trauma Care Education Partnership Program (ETEP)-Graduate Nursing Education. ETEP Graduate Nursing Education provides funding support for partnerships between hospitals and graduate professional nursing programs to increase the education and training experiences in emergency and trauma care for registered nurses pursuing graduate-level education.
The Forensic Psychiatry Fellowship Program supports the development or expansion, and administration of accredited forensic psychiatry one-year fellowship training programs at health-related institutions in Texas. The $5 million in total competitive grant funding is available for two years to support the salaries and benefits associated with the implementation of the training program, in addition to other resources that are used to develop and maintain the program.

The Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board’s (THECB) Academic and Health Affairs Division is pleased to announce awards under the Nursing Innovation Grant Program (NIGP). NIGP was established to provide grant funding to eligible institutions that propose to address the shortage of registered nurses (RN) in Texas by developing or expanding new activities and projects that promote innovation in the preparation of initial RN licensure nursing students and of faculty who may teach in initial RN licensure programs. The award funding will support programs that address the shortage of registered nurses and/or qualified faculty by promoting innovation in one or more of the following areas: education, recruitment, and retention.
