This memorandum is regarding the required study and report on statewide and regional shortages in certain health professions in accordance with Texas Education Code 61.06691.

In accordance with Texas Education Code 63.203 and 63.302(f), this letter and the attached financial statements are provided to fulfill reporting requirements of the Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board (THECB) on budget and year-end financial reports relating to the use of appropriated funds for the Permanent Fund for Minority Health Research and Education (MHR) and the Permanent Fund for Higher Education Nursing, Allied Health and Other Health-related Education Programs (NAH).

This memorandum is regarding the required reporting on transfer students in accordance with the General Appropriations Act for Fiscal Years 2024-25 (House Bill 1, Article III, Special Provisions Relating Only to State Agencies of Higher Education Section 45).

During each legislative session, the THECB provides semester credit hour data to the Legislative Budget Board and the Governor's office for use in the appropriations process. Tarleton State University has corrected the reporting of its semester credit hours for the spring 2023 semester.
