This document provides reference to those who access it the federal regulations in the Strengthening Career and Technical Education for the 21st Century Act, or Perkins V, that involve the Comprehensive Local Needs Assessment (CLNA). Per federal legislation, the CLNA is required to be developed by every entity that receives Perkins funds.

The comprehensive local need assessment online resources will be useful to institution’s CLNA process by providing a list of free online resources regarding the background of Perkins V, the CLNA process, stakeholder engagement, labor market information, and access/equity.  

Perkins V requires a new state plan for the State of Texas. Perkins THECB staff must consult statutorily required stakeholders to write the post-secondary portion of the state plan. This list of meetings are the scheduled stakeholder meetings across the state.
