The Texas College Work-Study Program appropriation supports the Texas College Work-Study, the WSMP, and the Texas WORKS Internship Programs. This allocation data review is specifically for the WSMP.

- Tuition Equalization Grant FY 2019 Need Survey Review Reminder Memo

Reminder: Institutions have until June 24, 2020 to send a confirmation through CONTACT US (select “Financial Aid Question” as the Contact Reason) for the FY 2019 Tuition Equalization Grant (TEG) Need Survey - Review.
The Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board (THECB) is required to present the result of its most recent annual need survey for Tuition Equalization Grant (TEG) funds as part of its biennial appropriations request to the Legislative Budget Board (LBB) and the governor. The request includes an estimate of the amount needed to fully fund the TEG program in the coming biennium.
Enclosed is the spreadsheet that lists calculated TEG Need for each institution. Steps for completing the review process is documented within this memo.

The Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board (THECB) will begin accepting files June 22, 2020 for the 2019-20 (FY 2020) FAD Reporting Cycle Two.
Enclosed is the updated FY 2020 FAD manual, which is also available on the Student Financial Aid Programs website under Online Resources. Please replace all previous copies of the FY 2020 FAD manual to ensure that financial aid administrators submit all files accurately.

We have also updated and enclosed two frequently asked questions resource PDFs. One is intended for institutions and the other is for students. The EAE application and FAQs is also posted on the College for All Texans website under the EAE page.

- Good Neighbor Program FY 2021 Selected Students Memo

This memo serves as notification to public institutions of higher education that the student selection process of the FY 2021 Good Neighbor Program has been completed.
The Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board (THECB) has completed the selection process for the 2020-21 Good Neighbor Program (GNP). A list of selected recipients was emailed to program officers on May 22, 2020. Each institution is responsible for notifying all students who submitted a GNP application whether they were selected or not.

Financial Aid Services announces the release of a new resource for institutions: Foster Care Exemption Fact Sheet. The fact sheet was developed to help public institutions assist foster youth currently or formerly under the conservatorship of the Texas Department of Family and Protective Services (DFPS) and those adopted from DFPS.
In January of this year, six exemption program guidelines were released, and each of these documents was recently updated to align the selective service section with the FY 2021 grant, loan, and work-study program guidelines. - By Student Financial Aid Programs

This memo announces the B-On-Time (BOT) Loan Program certification deadline for the 2019-20 academic year.
The Texas B-On-Time loan program will officially end at the conclusion of FY 2020. Institutions that have allocated funds remaining for FY 2020 have until Feb. 20, 2020 to certify eligible BOT loan applications. Please review any prior BOT recipients to determine whether any remaining students are eligible to receive funding for the current year.
