The Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board (THECB) is pleased to present the 2026 University Performance-Based Funding Report, a comprehensive analysis of a funding model that can help expand the number of workforce-ready university graduates in Texas.

This letter is regarding the study conducted by the Texas A&M Public Policy Research Institute that determined the Classic Learning Test (CLT), SAT, and ACT are of sufficient rigor and reliability to be used as criteria for college admissions in this state. In response to the study, THECB is convening a negotiated rulemaking committee to amend the Uniform Admission Policy with the intent to align rules with the research study.

This letter is regarding the recent legislation enacted through House Bill 3041 added Section 51.9675 to the Texas Education Code, providing that a student attending a school that is not formally organized as a high school and who is at least 16 years of age is considered to be attending a high school for purposes of participation in dual credit programs.

This memorandum provides information on the average salary increase provided to faculty at each general academic institution, in accordance with the General Appropriations Act for the 2026-27 Biennium (Section 32 of Special Provisions Relating Only to State Agencies of Higher Education).

The Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board is pleased to announce the 2026-2027 scholarship allocation for each institution participating in the Texas Leadership Research Scholars Program (TLRS).

The Workforce Pell Grant (WPG) Program expands federal Pell financial aid to include short-term, high-value workforce training programs, designed to support accelerated training that aligns directly with Texas economic priorities.
