This media release announces the Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board's Request for Applications (RFA) for the Open Educational Resources (OER) Course Development and Implementation Grant Program, supported by a portion of the $175 million allocation to the THECB from the Governor's Emergency Educational Relief (GEER) Fund.

The Texas Reskilling Support Fund Grant Program is established to support displaced Texas workers impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic who need to reskill or upskill to get back into the workforce and Texas students who have previously stopped out of higher education institutions without completing a postsecondary credential.

The TEXAS Grant, TEOG, TEG - GEER Monthly Report collects monthly data from institutions that received Governor’s Emergency Education Relief (GEER) Funds for the following state grant programs: Toward EXcellence, Access, and Success (TEXAS) Grant; Texas Educational Opportunity Grant (TEOG); and Tuition Equalization Grant (TEG).

Requirements

Beginning October 1, 2020, institutions must submit this form to report:

• Year-to-date total number of students who have received a TEXAS Grant, TEOG, or TEG funded by GEER
• Year-to-date total amount of GEER funding disbursed to students through TEXAS Grant, TEOG, or TEG

The Emergency Educational Grant - GEER Monthly Report collects monthly data from public institutions that received Emergency Educational Grants through the Governor’s Emergency Education Relief (GEER) Fund.

Requirements

• Year-to-date total number of students who have received an Emergency Educational Grant funded by GEER
• Year-to-date total amount of GEER funding disbursed to students through Emergency Educational Grants
