Economic Development and Diversification Waiver Company List

The city or county or economic development group of the Texas region in which the business will locate or expand should initiate a letter of request for consideration to the Executive Director of the Economic Development & Tourism division of the Office of the Governor. The letter should outline how the criteria below are met and indicate the approximate number of employees to be transferred, approximate wages to be paid and the estimated capital investment of the project.

Educational Aide Exemption (EAE) Funds Request Form Instructions

Instruction on how to complete the Educational Aide Exemption (EAE) Fund Request Form (FRF). Participating Institutions can request EAE program funds throughout the year on an as-needed basis using the Funds Request Form (FRF). The FRF allows for easier reconciliation between the institution’s Financial Aid Office, Business Office, and the Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board (THECB).

Texas College Work Study 2018-19 Data Request Memo

The Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board (THECB) compiles an annual Financial Aid Report (FAR) concerning student financial aid at Texas public and private/independent institutions of higher education. The report is created in accordance with Texas Education Code (TEC) section 56.082, which calls for the THECB to report the number of Texas College Work-Study (TCWS) students employed by for-profit or nonprofit employers.

To comply with reporting requirements, the institutions on the enclosed list must provide employer status of “for-profit” or “nonprofit” for each TCWS student for the 2018-19 (FY 2019) year.

Tuition Equalization Grant FY 2020 Engagement Guide Memo

The FY 2020 Tuition Equalization Grant (TEG) Engagement Guide is available on the Student Financial Aid Programs webpage under Program Resources. Private and independent institutions participating in the TEG program are required to have their operations of the program audited on an annual basis by an independent auditor or by an internal audit office that is independent of the financial aid and disbursing office.

The purpose of the engagement is to confirm that awards are made only to eligible students and that the institution has an adequate system of internal controls to ensure adherence to program laws and regulations.
